Class 5
Over the weekend I worked on more clean up, modeled the towers (both with and without sculptural faces), and the center building to finish up the overall temple geometry. I had originally planned on adding some like rubble and decay, but I thought about it and decided that it might not be super necessary since the main focus of my project is going to be the ruins on the top of the island. Adding a bunch of detail that won't explicitly be featured wouldn't make sense, so I figured I would just fake it in texturing. I'm thinking I won't really have to stress over it unless I run into an issue where an element would benefit from me physically modelling decay or something.
So I modeled 2 different types of towers. The first being just a regularly extruded shape and the second the one with the face that I sculpted in Zbrush.

The final result as of right now:

I think considering the fact that I have never really considered myself a modeler and that I had a lot of doubt surrounding my ability to really pull off this project before the quarter even started, I'd say I'm in a really good place for the start of the third week. I'm super proud of my progress compared to the first week rough previs I had shown.
