Starting the Ruins Altar

Class 6

Today's progress is just the basic set up of the center altar that will serve as the "portal." I started by modeling a platform with stairs leading up to a rune disk where I'll eventually do another facial relief sculpture in Zbrush. I took a lot of inspiration from lotus flowers since it's a symbol of good fortune in Buddhism and tried to incorporate it into the design of the altar as a whole. I made decorative petals surrounding the portal disk and added petal-like elements to the platform.
