Class 3

Monye finished up modeling the witch doctor hut. Since the roof is going to be made of straw, we layered a bunch of planes to create a bunched up effect and the actual straw effect will be done with alphas and texturing following a quixel tutorial (https://quixel.com/blog/2019/11/21/creating-a-thatched-roof). The more minor details like the feathers and bones hanging from the rope around the hut will be refined and further developed for next class. The platform and the steps will be added once Brianna sculpts the main tree.

As for the surrounding trees, here's a basic sculpt done in Zbrush to which we can add a few variations. The branches still need a lot of refinement but we're not too worried about them being super detailed because we plan to ultimately drape moss and vines over them.
